Hottub motor/electric issues!?
Our hottub just stopped working today. The pumps stopped running because a circuit breaker flipped and we think the motor is fried because when we flip the breaker on, we hear the motor start but then fizzle out right away.
It is below freezing here! We don't want water to freeze in our hottub pipes and ruin them. It won't drain all the way. Any ideas ?

I would bite the bullet and try to get at the lowest accessible point of the plumbing, probably the suction inlet at the pump, and hacksaw the pipe there, leaving me just enough of thread into the fitting that I could easily add a coupling later. This is a semi-panic situation with the possibility of expansion damage in a less accessible place. Alternatively, if you can access the lines enough to add a tee, you can blow air in to force the water out.
