Why are people on Runescape so rude and mean?

And where did he kill you? because there are only certain areas where you can go to attack other players. They might have yelled noob because they could not help you when you asked.

Just don't ask for things you can get yourself, and don't try to sell anything worth under 1k. Sadly enough, much of the game is showing off, so the higher level and more money you have, the more respect you have.

well, thats how it is in online games. they trashtalk. they kill. and its all for fun. without any of these elements, it wouldnt really feel like an online game at all.
