Could this be a security breach: 8383 port! Welcome to KillerWebMail ?

I typed just one word: mail in the browser then pressed Enter and was redirected to a web mail interface. Here is a screen shot of it on flickr:

the url in my firefox browser was: http:// mail:8383/login.cgi?_

As far as i know 8383 is a port. could this be some worm or Trojan or something dangerous.

The thing that worries me is the name. This 'killer' in Killer Web Mail does not sound very friendly to me.

What do you think?

the 'killer' is not really anything to worry about, it's the 'mail' part of the address that's the interesting part.

'killer webmail' is just the name of an email server by a company based at http://www.ipswitch.com/ - it's a legit product and used by alot of people:

    http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=killerwebma...

because it's not a web address (no .com .whatever) it must be a computer accessible from whatever constitutes the network you're attached to - if you're just a normal home user with nothing special going on in your home then running an email server from *any* machine is highly unusual and welcomes further investigation.

if you're at work or school and get this it is not so unusual and you probably only found their webmail server, it's nothing to worry about under these circumstances.

I dunno, but you should get immediately ZoneAlarm Pro, the best firewall program. And get an anti-spyware and anti-virus software. I'd suggest Kaspersky or BitDefender, as antivirus and Spyware Doctor as anti-spyware. Check 'em out.
