Piaget's stages...?
Piaget believed that there were 4 stages to cognitive development. You ask a child "Why does the sun shine?" and the child answers "to keep me warm". You then as the child "Why is the grass green?" and the child answers "because that is my favorite color". Based on the answers, how old would you guess the child is? What stage of development is the child in according to Piaget? Explain why you believe the child is in this particular stage.
I have a test tomorrow and need to know this tonight! First correct answer gets ten points!!!

4, preoperative stage. The child's thinking is symbolical and abstract, he/she cannot perform concrete mental operations yet.

The child is most likely experiencing the pre operational stage according to Piaget. During the pre operational stage the child is considered to be egocentric, meaning that everything in the world happen according to their viewpoint. This stage is considered to occur between the ages of about 2 to 7. The child is somewhere in that range. I would guess that they are anywhere in that age range. Probably about 3 or 4.

The child is in the preoperational stage because he/she is seeing the world in a very self-centered manner... That means the child is somewhere between the ages of 2-7 but I would think probably around age 4.

Yikes. while i replace into in Psych one hundred and one, I had to verify the e book all via myself, and attend each and all of the lectures.
