A Eulogy of sorts. Comments?

Nights STRETCH, long into watching, cautiously counting minutes passing,

awaiting a Dawn that also seems to wait until the tedium of insomnia

demands I stop fooling myself into believing

that laying in the dark, is actually resting.

Finally Sunrise happens, almost festive in its arrival,

I celebrate, eager to savor, grasp each breath,

truly forge ahead, accomplishing, yet knowing all too well

as I am drawn again to the face of the clock, that Days SHRINK.

Update:

Shab. Thanks. I thought it clearly related to the "Passage" of time, and how one might mourn in some respects.

Update 2:

Thanks Elwing, I'll work on it.

Update 3:

Mr Bicuits, thanks. Good is relative, but as you say, "I'm still here." and I'm thankful for that.

Time flows like Lava, when we might rather have it race, and yet shatters land speed records, as can be seen on this old mans face.

Update 4:

Thank you Cleanair. Yes I have posted here, and respond to posts. I often enjoy levels of anonimity as well.

Update 5:

Panacea I apologize. I have no clue where Elwing came from, and perhaps you can suggest the drop.

its beautiful. although the first line of the second stanza "finally sunrise happens, almost festive in its arrival, maybe too many syllables there trying to get rid of one might helps...however it is beautiful truely. xxxx
