Ok so I can make neutral compounds out of charged ions, but I can't figure out how to make formulas for ions and neutral elements combined.
Here are some of my problems, how do I work them?

Ca+ C(2)H(3)O(2) with an overall negative charge.

The name of each element is the name of the formula, but don't forget to give the nonmetal ion the (ide) ending
1 write the symbol for each element
2 give the valence charge of each element
3 Balance out the ionic number of each element to zero using subscripts_ hint remember to drop and criss-cross the number of the charge, but don't bring down the number 1
4 If the Radical or Polyatomic, place parenthesis around the group if you are bringing down a subscript.
