Eisenhower. That was the "Cross of Iron" speech he gave in 1953. He basically echoed the same sentiments in his Farewell Address, when he warned the country about the "Military-Industrial Complex" that now controls our country. Ironic that such words of wisdom should come from a Republican, when it's the Republicans that now embrace that "Military-Industrial Complex".
