What do I do to keep Yahoo from timing out and zapping a long answer after I've put a bunch of work into it?

It chaps me no end to do a good job on an answer and then have Yahoo time out and request my password so I can continue...and then, when I've put in my password, it says "please enter your answer", becaiuse it has deleted what I was just working on. I get mad enough that, someday, I'm going to just say "The heck with it!" and go do something else with my spare time. I wonder how many others you've lost that way?

I think all you can do is copy your answer and when it zaps out on you you have it to paste when you reopen and reenter. I have learned you should copy anything sent in these type forms becasue often when you hit return it erases everything you worked on...bummer.

That would be very frustrating, I have had then cut in and ask for my password and I was able to comply without being deleted. Whats ticks me me off is the limited space you have to give a complete answer. And the spell check is just so badly flawed it is to make one pull out chunks of hair.

The same thing has happened to me and I thought the asker was just disregarding my answer. Sometimes it takes a while to solve and then explain. It keeps you away from more complicated problems.
