UMNO is contesting in all the 222 parliamentary seats nationwide. However on the nomination day ( yesterday ), UMNO had won 7 parliamentary seats unopposed because of various reasons like opposition candidates failed to show up , opposition candidate withdrew at the last minute etc. On the 8th March 2008, UMNO is only contesting for 215 parliamentary seats.
