MANY people have nick names that are shortened versions of their names, their last names or come to be because of something about them or something they are good at.

His grandfather was a christian who converted to islam.

His father was raised islamic and married an atheist.

But he was tech. raised by his maternal grandparents where were Christian.

You may not have noticed it but Christianity started in the Middle East.

And Jesus had a Jewish name.

The same reason that most American's names don't sound like "Yeshua" (Which is what Jesus was called before we came along and anglicized it.).

Because his parents choose his name and he likes it. What difference does it makes? If criminal Bush's name is George, he is still an evil liar, criminal and war criminal. Same goes for Adolf Hitler who was a Christian.
