What falls into the category of an evil act (and by association, thought) is defined by each society and each generation. There are some common evil deeds like murder and rape, but those acts may be justified under varying circumstances in some societies. Americans believe it is evil to murder, yet we have the death penalty and drop bombs rather indiscriminately. Huns thought it was evil when someone raped their women, but in battle it was ok to rape the other guy's women.

To sum up, evil highly depends on what the people at the time consider important for their survival, and by extention, the survival of their particular tribe or country. Anything that threatens survival is consiedered an evil.

Evil is a matter of oppinion. No on can be evil, but one can commit evil acts. Some say evil is a form of short madness, that the "evil" or even bad things in the world are small acts of temporary insanity.

EVIL is the Absence of good. Being evil is a choice. A man is evil when he chose to turn away from Good(As in doing bad things) but he has a rational reason. An act is not evil when the person who do bad is not in his right state of mind(As in insanity).

The major problem is the discovery of the summum bonum, the greatest good.the opposite is evil

Evil is lack of Good, just as Darkness is lack of Light.

what ever is terribly or wrongly done to you or another person would be evil.Especially when you can not measure the degree do we refer to it as evil.but i would say, this depends on an individual.Others refer whatever bad thing someone does unto them as Evil.
