Hi, I hope you're not talking about the Scottish Fae. They are totally different creatures, LOL! I've read about them in Karen Moning's books and they aren't little and they don't play by the marsh. They are called the Tuatha De Danaan and are very tall, just to give you a little history about the Fae.
There's to many By the muddy marsh references for me. Other then that it's a good child's poem. You have a good imagination. Keep writing.

You have the idea for a delightful little poem, but it has been spoiled by far to many "By the muddy marsh". The poem only warrants two, one at the beginning and one at the end. This needs to be a complete rhyming poem, unfortunately it is not.
Replace the word "fae" with "folk". Try also to keep each line with the same number of words.
This is how it will look without all of the :"By the muddy marsh"
By the muddy marsh
in early eve twilight
the wee fae play
singing and dancing along their merry way
I watch 'til dawns light breaks
beconing to follow through the veil
their seceret shall stay
By the muddy marsh.
Can you see how your words do not rhyme. Have another attempt at it and it will be a pretty poem.
