Eco-demolition? Energy production?

Is anyone working on means to recapture the energy that goes into building large structures like setting up a hoist attached to a generator that would be powered by demolition materials lowered to the ground? Seems like an awful lot of energy is just wasted and not recaptured that went into the original construction. Same thing goes for felling trees...how much energy could be derived from a system of running a generator that is hooked up to cables and falling trees. Watching the Ax Men series and controlled demolition got me thinking of it. Maybe I'm onto a new source of energy?

Think in the following: if gravity don´t exist then demolition is not possible and trees never fall, then you are extracting energy in that cases from gravity not from the demolitions or trees

For extract energy from gravity there is others more single methods sure you can get electrical generators use gravity as fuel and then never stops.

    Bye
