Do people care more about animals than fellow human beings ?

Some do. I've heard people talk about how it's no big deal that they use aborted fetuses in vaccine manufacturing, but God forbid a monkey get tested on in a lab somewhere. It disgusts me that they have a higher regard for a monkey that "didn't have to suffer" than they do for a human baby who "was gonna die anyways and may as well be useful". Utterly revolting. Animals don't deserve abuse, obviously, but human life is even more precious and just as worthy of our compassion and help.

Well I think maybe people treat their animals that way is because no matter what they do that animal will still love you, don't ask for anything,don't judge you and stays true to you. Sometimes people try and do for others and they never get any appreciation back.............. I don't know but that's the best answer I have. I am the type of person that always does for people and I also treat my dogs good but people come first.

Some people love their pets in particular their dogs because they receive more affection and loyalty from them than their fellow humans.

I agree with what you stated.

Some people even "cry" when they see one animal slaughtered, but act normal when innocent soldiers are dying for what they believe in.

I hate when people are doing this. People are so cruel to other people than to a dog or cat.
