In two months, I will have been riding the same full-custom Harley Panhead that I built with my own hands from the ground up for thirty five (35) years.

And it was my third Harley.

Way back then, we 'Old Schoolers' had a saying:

"There are two types of 'Bikers'. Those who ride Harleys, and those who WISH they did!"

Jap choppers could never hold a candle to Real American Iron.

Altho not as popular. . . . . True then - True today.

How many '63 SakiSuckers are still running today? (LMAO!)

There are aftermarket frames available for Honda and Kaw in-line fours, I've seen the cataloges but don't recall the names. If you're chopping Harleys you probably know a supplier who can hook you up.

BTW, you might tell your bud that buyer's remorse and a yuppie attitude ain't "old school", its just smoke. A Harley with 100K on the clock is not only rare, but 100K without major surgery is unheard of.

My own thought is the bikes from the 70s sure looked a lot nicer than what's on the market now.

I fixed one a couple of years ago. It was a old Amen frame with a SHOC 750 honda. I have been thinking of looking him up and seeing if it was for sale.
