I am white. How do I know if I am a "typical white person"?

Ask a black person. Blacks have the authority to tell us who and what we are, whether we're good or bad or racist or decent or right or wrong. Only a black person can tell you who you really are. Only blacks are right. And they are never wrong, even when they're wrong, because they have a fan base that says so, and because they can wail holy Jesus louder than we can.

Whites have no authority to say anything about themselves, because some of them a couple hundred years ago did some bad things, and hence all their offspring forever, and even those who are in no way their offspring but who happen to be the same color, must be judged not based upon their character but based on the color of their skin, all these likewise lost all authority to speak about racial issues. Whites can now only sit passively by while taunted by others for what happened before we were born. That is our fate.

If a colored person said that of you it usually means that you're a rascist even for disagreeing with them on very minor issues. For example, if you don't like Obama for any reason whatsoever, you're a typical "white" person. I think its just an inferiority problem with most colored people.

There is no typical white person. It is said that the typical would be a protestant, educated and well to do, but that does not stick anymore. All I know is that we should all be the same and forget about stereotypes.

I wish people would stop trying to spin this, so that it makes Obama seem like a racist... We all know what he meant, but we try to pretend that the racial tensions that he is saying that we need to get past don't exist... Those tensions are there, anyone who's says they are not there are either naive or in denial... What Obama is saying, is our diversity is what makes our country great, we need to embrace it, and come together as a country in order to strive for a " more perfect " union...
