Certified Used cars - no bargaining?

I saw a certified used car (Acura) that I wanted - when I purchased new cars I always got anywhere from 10 ~ 14% off the asking price, but certified used rep was only willing to give me 1.5% off!!! Is that the norm for certified used cars?

Update:

Its an 07 Acura MDX w/ tech pack selling at 34,995, but they will only let it go for 34,445

I want it for 31,000 - is that unreasonable?

I purchased a certified used Volkswagen Passat and It was the biggest lemon I have ever owned. Some of the problems were fixed under warranty and most not properly! Don't ever buy a certified car from the Dublin Auto Center in Dublin, Ca. After bringing the car to a competent mechanic I was told that there was much more wrong with the car that I realized and that repairs were not done correctly!

There isn't a set percentage of discount for any car...Especially preowned. It depends on how much the dealer owns the vehicle for versus the market value. If 1.5% discount puts you at a fair price, then buy it. Consider youself lucky for not having to waste time haggling over the other 12.5% since the dealer gave you a great deal right out of the gates.

Find another dealer. There is ALWAYS room to negotiate in a used car.

I would agree that you need to find another dealership because that price is too high and its a 2007 as well...............
