Use your Vista installer to install your driver.

Plug your R300 printer to your PC, Vista should detect and install your driver.

    else...

Open the Control Panel -> choose Hardware and Sound - > in the Printers portion, click Add a Printer - > click Add Local Printer -> in the Use Existing Port, choose USB001 -> a list of devices will be generated, choose Epson for Manufactuer and choose Epson Stylus Photo R300 (M).

Check Epson support. My HP 7660 had an alternate driver to make it work with Vista which was the HP 5600 drivers.

    Go figure
