If I have a credit of 1/4 + 1/3 and I need 0.416666666667 to reach a whole credit what is the amount I need to reach a whole?
I converted this 0.416666666667 into a fraction and this is what I got:

Let X=0.41666666...
Then 10X=4.1666666...
Subtract:
10X-X=4.1666666...-0.41666666...=3.75
9X=3.75
X=3.75/9=375/900=5/12
0.41666666...=5/12
(Easier way: 1/4=3/12. 1/3=4/12. So 1/4+1/3=7/12. To reach a full credit you need 1-7/12=5/12.)

Do you really mean "0.416666666667"? Or do you mean "0.41666..." with the 6s repeating? They're two different decimals, you know.
If you mean the repeating decimal, then:
n = 0.41666...
10n = 4.1666...
So 10n - n = 4.1666... - 0.41666, and
9n = 3.75
n = 3.75/9
n = 375/900
n = 5/12
