dog came to our apartment. What does it mean?

This is a fun question...

In Scotland a strange dog visiting your house signals a new friendship. So, maybe you and the owners will be friends now since you got their dog back to them.

No offense but I don't know if the dog actually CHOSE u. It was going to go to someone's apt. so why not yours? U did good in finding the owner. If it happens again then I'd be questioning why and how the dog keeps getting out and make sure that it's not being neglected or abused. I could give u a bunch of hoopla about it's good luck for a dog to come into your house but I'm not that superstitious so I can't think of anything that you'd want to hear. I'd just say that it means that the chances that you might have to clean your floor are greater....I dunno.

I get this. It's like the hawk that sits in the tree outside a persons home signals death. I found it a bit odd when that happened the day my father passed away.

Dogs don't generally work that way. They are a wee bit psychic (now you folks will think me odd!) in that they are able to "read us" much better and with more clarity than most creatures, fellow humans included.

You were there when the dog was. You were warm and welcoming and the dog was receptive to that. You also saw on a subconscious level that the dog would be friendly otherwise you would not have invited him in.

A chance meeting and new friends made. I'd be willing to bet you see him again :-)

It had to go somewhere. You just happened to be the where. Maybe something about you or your apartment reminded it of its home os someone special. Maybe a dog used to live in your apartment. Maybe the dog used to know the previous tenant.

It means nothing. Nothing at all. Relax. Breathe.

Nothing mystic going on here...you probably had the best smells, ie food cooking, female in heat had passed by recently, or it was just the luck of the draw. Who knows what goes on in those furry little minds? You just happened to come upon the dog on his way through your area.
