I would like some info on the genetics and link to pictures.
I have not seen examples of these and would like to know some more info.
Please don't tell me they are not accepted colors, I already know this (but they are listed as colors on AKC).

Thanks for answering the q? without be snide. I don't plan on breeding them. I know the problems that are caused by double merle.
I have been to 6stardanes, they do have af ew pics of merlequin but there not the best pics, but no silver ones.

Here is an excellent list of articles on Dane coat color genetics:

By "silver" I assume you mean blue? Like in Weimaraners, the blue coloration can range from silver to mousey brown.

Merlequin:

Merlequin is apparently some sort of colouring that resembles a cross between Harlequin and Merle. Silver is likely just that.
And a note to the person who noted that the AKC does not list them: Many sites going into the ins and outs of the breed DO discuss those colourations -- as faults. The person who opened this question said they know they're not AKC accepted colours.
Edited to add: And I definitely agree with the person who said to not breed two merles together. Double merles have MANy genetic issues. Many are blind and/or deaf. You see a lot of deaf and blind Australian shepherds because of this sort of uninformed or poor breeding.

This site has a lot of pictures of the spotty colors. They must specialize in harlequins (cause there's a lot on them).
Merle is a special case. They're beautiful - but I'd never recommend trying to breed for them. Too many genetic problems. At least some of the puppies will be deaf/blind or worse.
