Not without checks and balances. What we are heading towards with our current system is a few giants of industry controlling almost everything. Take note of the current talk of another merger of big boys in the airline industry while two smaller airlines declare bankruptcy. Capitalism is supposed to stimulate competition, now competition is either bought-out or crushed. Our current form of capitalism diminishes our choices instead of enhancing them.

No, pure capitalism and pure democracy cannot coexist. One will always out-power the other, and it's usually the one that costs less and makes more - capitalism. However, they are the best ideas we've got in so far as protecting personal freedom and encouraging progress goes.

In an enormous capitalist "democracy" with modern technology shaping the media, it is the job of the U.S. power elite to convince the public that they have a democracy when indeed it is only a shell of democracy.

Capitalism is an economical strategies and democracy is a political format.

They are not perfect solutions, but seem to be together the best we have with our selfish ignorance and shortsighted greed.

No. Money always corrupts the political sphere. You can have democracy or you can have capitalism, but you can't have both.

That would depend on the type of democracy you want.

Not as long as one class of people have control of most of the media and armed forces.

    Yes--- the only way.

You can't have Capitalism without Freedom.

And you can't have Freedom without Capitalism.

Socialists, Facists, Communists don't like Capitalism.

(And neither do lots of Welfare People.)
