if one ball weighing 2 kg at 5 m/s(going to the right) collides in an inelastic collision against a ball going 10 m/s wighing 2 kg(going to the left), what will be the velocity of the balls after the collision?

A. 5 m/s to the left

B. 2.5 m/s ro the left

C. 11 /s to the left

D. 15 m/s to the left

    momentum is conserved

    Initial momentum. to the right is +, to the left is -

    Initial Momentum = 2*5 - 10*2 = -10

    Final momentum is the same

    Final velocity = -10/(2+2) = -10/4 = -2.5
