Venetian is great, but its pretty pricey. I think the MGM might be the best value in that its not too expensive but everything is top rate. the lazy river pool is super and the restaurants there are top rate.

The best casino for value and price depends on what you can find at expedia.com or any of the other sites. Seriously, you should look there they always have good deals on 3-5 star hotels.

I recently got 5 days at the Luxor for under 100 dollars a night, and a room upgrade! It's great. Now for the food, I'd recommend the Spice Market Buffet or Bally's Sterling Brunch if you can afford it (70 bucks!), but it has lobster, caviar, king crab ect. Very chique.

Excalibur Hotel-great Sun-Thurs rates ($70-90), with a $20 upgrade option to a fully renovated, quiet room with a granite bathroom, new furniture and bedding, thick towels and 2 very comfortable Queen beds. There was an in-room safe, but no fridge or mini bar. iHome clock radio & 42' plasma TV. There were 4 swimming pools, but the pool with the waterfall and the slides were only open on the weekend. The arcade was a bit tired, but they loved the virtual rides. The hotel has a tram to the Luxor Hotel & Mandalay Bay Hotel, and a walkway to NY NY & MGM. So we had access to hundreds of restaurants, bars and activities without ever touching the street.

FOOD-If you want an excellent burger, be sure to go to Burger Bar (at Mandalay Bay). Wolfgang Puck’s Trattoria Del Lupo was a disappointment-great service but way overpriced for what was offered. For the same price, Mesa Grill (Ceasar’s) was a far better meal, or have an amazing meal at Daniel Boulud Brasserie (Wynn) or Aureole (Mandalay Bay). The buffet at the Rio Hotel was far better than the buffet at Treasure Island.

ACTIVITIES FOR KIDS- You can get 2 for 1 tickets to the NY NY roller coaster if you visit the Adventuredome at Circus Circus at the end of the strip. The Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, and Tigers & Dolphins at the Mirage. Thrill rides the top of the Stratosphere, Cyber Speedway & Speed rollercoaster at the Sahara., Luxor’s Imax Theater, King Tut Museum

FREE THINGS TO DO- Habitat at the Flamingo, Lions at MGM, Beautiful flower show at Bellagio, & the Bellagio Fountains, The Sirens show outside of Treasure Island, Circus acts at Circus Circus, the Fremont laser show, Lake of Dreams at the Wynn, Fall of Atlantis at Ceasars

    OUT OF THE ORDINARY SHOWS

Penn & Teller comedy/magic show at Rio a riot, and they meet the fans after the show.

Bodies Exhibition at the Tropicana- really interesting

Toxic Audio -really funny singing group

    Mega Bubble show (little kids)

Tournament of Kings Medieval Joust (bigger kids) at Excalibur- dinner was a plain roasted chicken & tomato soup (there was no tomato soup in medieval times- Columbus hadn’t discovered America yet...) But the show had a lot of action and every seat was a good view..

    Blue Man, any Cirque show

After many visits to vegas, I have stayed at the Alladin, Tropicana, San Remo, Excalibur, New Frontier, Ceasars Palace, new York New York,Westin Causicana!

Generaly i balance the hotel room with the budget (I'm going to Excalibur on memorial day), this wasnt the cheapest but, its located near the airport, near some good casinos! I could have got the Circus Circus for $80 less, but it was worth it (4 nights).

My overall package came to $750 for 4 nights and flights for 2 people so I cant complain, If I had booked a week earlier would have been $600

I prefer to spend money on My gambling budget and entertainment, rather than on an expensive room (how long am I going to be in it anyhow!)

As for Value, Flamingo gave me good comps and also had $5 tables! Alladin has a great buffet, but expensive (I usually go for comps!).

Cesars has great rooms (but company paid!), I havent seen any really bad hotel rooms, all have a bed, shower, bathroom so why spend $250 a night for more!

    The Orleans. Period.

I got a $35 rate on expedia. The Orleans matched it. I lost a few hundred, about $300, in their casino my first trip. Ever since I have been comped free rooms, $50 in food, and $100-$150 in cash or comp play. They also hand out free drink coupons, which I just give away. Drinks are free anyway while you play.

Their casino is huge, 142,000 sq ft, and one of the last to still offer 5 cent video poker and nickel slots. If you can't find your game here, it doesn't exist anymore.

They have several good restaurants on site including TGIFridays, Don Miquel's Mexican, Canal St Steakhouse, and several others. Their room service is outstanding, large portions, big selection and good prices.

They have a bowling alley on site, movie theaters, a liquor store with package liquor; beer, wine, soda, etc. with better prices than my local grocery.

I also get offers for slot tourneys, video poker tourneys and BJ and poker tourneys...all of which include free nights.

In short, just a great place. Check it out sometime. The Orleans Arena is attached which has shows and sports.

    I agree with "Tony".

IMO - The Orleans is the best value resort in Las Vegas.

Tripadvisor.com named it the #2 best value hotel in the world

"Tony" hit most of the highlights, the Orleans is a great place to stay, play and eat.

I will add that I consider their buffet to be one of the top 3 value buffets in LV. The Prime Rib Loft is very good and the Courtyard Cafe is a really nice place for breakfast.

I like The Venetian. You can get cheaper prices on travel sites or by calling and say you will be playing a lot what is the best price room they can get you. The room quality is amazing and they have the biggest and best standard rooms on the strip. At least 600 square feet per room, and very high quality bathrooms, seperate shower and tub with air jets.

Just book directly from the hotels using their promo codes and you will get the best deals. Luxor for instance have rooms for $69 /night , Monte Carlo $68 /night weekday check in. Here are the codes below.

Eat at the buffets. Their prices start at about $7.95

There are lots. Check out www.lasvegasnow.com

If money is not an issue, I would look at staying at the corner of Tropicana and LV Boulevard where there are 7 casinos. The cheaper may be Tropicana of those.
