Unknown Houseplant - any information will be appreciated?

I received this as a gift, don't know what it is. Here is a picture of the plant, and a second picture showing closeup of the foliage. Thanks.

    Looks like a bonsaied fig of sorts. You can check this site for a gander at their pics.

    I'm guessing it's a ficus cut down in anticipation of use as a bonsai. check out the link, it has a pic of a ficus retusa that looks very similar

    sort of looks like a camelia graft. Maybe you'll have to wait for reproductive apparatus to show up before making a definite identification.

    the leaves on this plant look like a lemon tree but it would have to be an old one that someone trimmed down
