Do you think the U.S dollar will collapse?

Do you think the U.S dollar will collapse? The dollar has lost 30% of its value since 2000, are trade deficit is out of control, and many nations are losing its faith in the USD. Also I have been reading a lot of articles on the Internet that claim the collapse of dollar will happen.

The answer is both YES and NO. Yes in the sence that the dollar is going to be devalued on the basis that the FED is printing massive amounts of money and they stopped telling Congress how much they are adding to the existing supply. No in the sence that there isnt any other currency to replace the dollar.

I have lost faith in the value stability of the dollar and for the first time I bought Canada Silver Maple Leaf coins this morning. I will be converting some assets into gold as I can afford it. The way I see this, Im not betting on a currency that is being devalued by at least 15% each year due to inflation. M3 from private figures estimate 15% increase to the money supply. That is inflation. Inflation is not the cause of rising prices. The rising of prices is the effect of the inflating of the money supply. Both gold and silver are trading/exchanging below thier 100 day moving average, which means they are both good buys at this time.

Basically I have lost faith in the US goverment and the FED in reguards to our currency. Im not going to hold US dollars from this day forward. As Im able to buy/exchange into gold and silver for my long term savings, I will do so. Right now the interest rates you recieve are basically nothing for holding cash and the risk of inflation and devalueation of the currency over time is 100%. Paper isnt going to hold value.....Gold and Silver at least has a chance. Ill take my chances with gold and silver. History has shown that the value of the dollar will continue to decline.

i think of it has already collapsed. The dramatic decrease interior the money fee over the final couple of years is easily an prolonged late adjustment on the part of something of the worldwide to the financial realities confronted by potential of the U.S. on the grounds that '01 whilst Bush took place of work the fee of oil has extra beneficial than tripled, annual funds deficits have greater dramatically and the national Debt has long gone up 40% to over $9 trillion! Plus Bush has shown actual 0 willingness to be fiscally conservative and countless economists anticipate a recession to start interior the subsequent 3 hundred and sixty 5 days on the heels of the present subprime loan disaster. All of that has ultimately brought about something of the worldwide to lose faith interior the U.S.' means to tend to their very own financial device properly. And hence the dollar has lost countless fee regarding different worldwide currencies. That mentioned although, that is sparkling that the U.S. remains an financial powerhouse and no-one thinks that there will be an enomic fall down or according to possibility a recession, so the fee of the dollar would style down somewhat extra, yet any "fall down" according to se has already occurred. And regrettably, now that the bloom is off the rose, in an attempt to talk, i do no longer think of the dollar will get better till the U.S. gets its domicile so as, which will take a minimum of 10 - 2 many years, whether the political will may well be mustered.
