Will an Iomega 250 zip drive read and write Iomega 100 MB zip disks?
I have some old Iomega 100 MB Zip disks that I need to recover data from, and I am curious if a 250 MB drive can read those disks. Or do I have to get a 100 MB drive?

Vista is the biggest piece of nonsense so far released by Ms. Worse than the Millennium version of their OS. Vista is a 32/64 bit OS and zip drives were introduced in the 16 bit era so it probably incompatible. But anyway, release the disc by pricking the hole at the front of the drive. You've probably damaged or miss-aligned the read head or the motor drive unit or both in the process of putting the disc in so, as with other comments, dump it and buy a high speed dvd re-writer or an external USB hard drive unit as big as you can afford.
