Yamaha dirtbike VIN number identification?

I have an older Yamaha DT 100 enduro that I just got. The cables have rubbed off the manufacture date on the frame. Is there a way to tell what year this is from the VIN number?

Best thing to do is call your local Yamaha dealer or Yamaha customer service give them the VIN and they will tell you the year. In general the 10th character is usually the year model. Starting with 1983 being "D",

    E 84, F 85, G 86, H 87, J 88, K 89, L 90, M 91, N 92, P 93, R 94, S 95, T 96, V 97, W 98, X 99, Y 2000, "1" 01, "2" 02, "3" 03...

To some people yes, but it is the same as a red light and a green light on a traffic light, the green for go the red for stop. Do all people stop? Nope. Mostly the reason why people differentiate between the two is: on one side the "VIN" number is what technicians and auto parts stores commonly call it and common folk normally call it the vehicle identification number, but by talking with a technician the word spreads into common knowledge so people call it the "VIN" number now. Just like the word TV or VCR, television or video casset recorder. People use TV ands VCR instead of saying the more drawn out words. Pretty much people use intitials for longer words becase they are lazy and don't want to say the whole phrase.

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://bitly.im/aOisf

Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.

You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

The absolutely free reverse vin check sites generally provide fake information. To get real information, money will have to be paid. The free searches provide fake information so they can get your email address to send spam.

Stay away from shady reverse vin check sites, most likely you won't get any information after you make the payment. Not to mention you won't get a report and you won't get an answer if you try to call for a refund. Stick with a reputable reverse vin check site like http://www.reversevincheck.net/ that has been around since 1995.
