Are there any other science answerers who are tired of this time of year?

I hate it when the predominant theme of the questions is: "Hep me, hep me! My final in chemistry/organic chemistry/ science is in thirty minutes/tomorrow/next week and I need hep!"

These children do not seem to realize that chemistry, math and the sciences (in general) all require that you be capable of doing the work, actually do the work, and remember what you have done. Too many of them have been forced into a course in science either because of state-mandated requirements or simply because their councelors have talked them into it because it will look good on their transcripts...but that presumes that they be capable of and actually do the work... a little point which may be beyond them.

Just like these miscreants who ask all the bomb and poison questions, many of them see no reason for science or math, and feel total disdain for a scientific education which our egalitarian society has felt obliged to spoon-feed them, to our ultimate...if not immediate...regret.

Yeah, sometimes I need to have a rant about all the people who want us to DO their homework for them, but then there are other times when I realize that I am not going to change attitudes just with my answers to them on Y!A. I just become more discriminating on the questions I choose to engage.

But I am glad for the forum and I am glad you got the chance to let your frustrations out.

See you later, in the answer parade!

I can definitely see your point, but isn't this Yahoo Answers! not Yahoo complain about the questions people are Asking and state my disdain at the current education system/choices the youth are making!

Just don't add your insight to their questions. Ultimately, the only person they are cheating is themselves. The less people who understand science and math, the more the people who do, will get paid. Being an Engineer, I just laugh and enjoy my job security.

Yes, I see you point; daily. YA, though is perfect for a know-it-all like me, so I do not have to much to kick about in the science section.

You should travel over to social science if you really want to be tired out. Lots of ideological BS and not much that can be done about it.

I don't waste time on the type of questions you describe. I ignore them and return to the main page.

yeah,i really get tired of answering DNA transcription and translation questions...i dont why children are believing somebody for their homework rather than themself. first they should have confidence themselves...
