For jail- type in the counties sheriffs office in a search. Go to their website. Some counties (like all in FL) have an "inmate search". If they don't you will see a the sheriffs office's phone number call them and ask (it's public record they have to tell you".
All states have their department of corrections online. Type in your state followed by "departmetn of corrections" Go to the site and on the left you'll see a tab for inmate search. It'll list all the stuff they got in trouble for.
