Prince Rupert for young, party-minded people?
We're a group of late 20-somethings from Colorado taking a cruise in June and we stop in Prince Rupert. I don't want to go some place lame where all the oldies from the cruise will be - we'll want to drink, eat some local grub, talk to and laugh with some locals and have a blast for 6 hours. Anyone ever been or have suggestions?

When you get there you may have to prioritize between the 3 - get away from the cruise people, good local food, and meeting locals. You might have a better idea when you arrive. And added factors are what day of the week, and what time.
Unfortunately, a large cruise ship has the capacity to over run all the restaurants. On the other hand, cruise ships eat well so you might be looking more on the drinks end.
The Crest lounge, breakers pub, and the lounge at the casino all have great food with ordering drinks easy. However, these are about the 3 closest places to the Cruise ship too.
Rupert, like BC has a unique Pub scene that I normally haven't found around the US. Like many Canadian things it has UK and US influences, but it isn't really like either. So if you really do want to get away from the Cruise, you might want to race for the first cab (their will be a line up) and take it to Solly's Pub, verses just walking to Breakers.
I also hear Rain Restaurant is popular hang out for 20ish crowd. Not sure if it still is.
