SIN! Exactly what is it? It is supposed to be inherited (original sin); it is what Christ saves us from.?

If it is just disobeying an edict of God how can it be inherited? If it is inherited it must be caused by something which can be passed on physically like our DNA. If it is like that then God must have created it in us in the first place and he is damning us for being like he made us. If Adam's fall caused our sinful nature's then how were we changed physically, in the Garden, so that sinful nature is passed on? All these questions lead me to believe sin is not something real. It's just an opinion about human free willed behavior.

Sin is the breaking of God's law. If God says "Do not lie" and you lie, then you have broken His law and sinned. When you sin, you offend God because it is His law that you have broken. Also, the reason God says to not lie, not cheat, etc., is because these laws reflect the moral purity of His nature. Therefore, the Law is a reflection of the character of God. It is wrong to lie because God cannot lie. It is wrong to steal because God cannot steal, etc. The moral law is not arbitrary. It is based on God's holiness.

The law, then, is a standard of moral purity. The Old Testament contains the Law of God. It is a perfect standard because it is God's standard. When we fail to keep the law, we sin. When we sin, we offend God. This offense against God results in a judgment. Laws are laws because they have penalties. There is no law without a penalty. Therefore, breaking God's law brings judgment which is separation from God. "But your sins have made a separation between you and your God," (Isaiah 59:2). And, "the wages of sin is death..." (Rom. 6:23). So, to sin, to break God's law, results in judgment. The judgment is known as damnation which is the righteous judgment of God upon the sinner. If God did not judge the sinner, then He is not upholding His holiness and he would be allowing sinners to go unpunished.

Of course, Jesus came to take our place and die for our sins (1 Pet. 2:24). This means that Jesus bore our sin in His body on the cross and paid for them. He took the judgment upon himself. This further means that anyone who trusts in what Jesus did on the cross will have his sins removed; he will be saved from God's future judgment.

So, replying to the question "What is sin?" is best answered by saying that it is breaking God's law. All people have sinned. Therefore, all people are under God's judgment -- except for those who've trusted in God's provision to escape that judgment.

There is no such thing as 'original sin.' You only get sin the kind Jesus spoke about in Mark 7. In fact everyone has been born with 12 types of sin which we inherited from our forefathers Adam and Eve. But did you know that Jesus came and took all these sins away (past, present and future) with His baptism by John the Baptist and His shed blood on the Cross (John 1:29, 1 John 5:6-11). Do you know exactly what 'the sins of the world really are' ?

Jesus told us about the gospel which cleanses us from all these sins and makes us acceptable for heaven (John 3:5). Although we will still live in this weak fleshly body which will sin until we die, but we can have sinless and righteous hearts before Him only if we believe in this gospel of the water and the Spirit. The reason why Christians are still sinners is because they have cut a divide (Titus 3:10-11), in fact this verse tells us that all who cut His gospel of the water and the Spirit in half, discarding one part of His water baptism and upholding the other (His blood) are heretics and self-condemned..and the true born again Christians must stay away from them. There are many of these types of people in this world today. That is why Jesus told us about them in Matthew 7:21-23. They are indeed many......

I even have something you'll be able to locate exciting. I sort of figured alongside the comparable strains as you probably did while i became examining the bible. I examine over John 3:sixteen some cases and located that it merely did not make any experience. As there are different aspects of the bible that contradict it. ok so then i presumed, what do i think of it rather is. I got here to the top it may make extra experience that Jesus became telling his disciples to have confidence him, not us for sure because of the fact he became chatting with them. Then I appeared up commerce translations to John 3:sixteen. This one is right this moment from Wikipedia. this may well be translated actually as: For in this sort God enjoyed the international: that he gave the unique son, so as that each and each of those trusting in him does not perish, yet have eternal life. extra like trusting him, and believing his teachings have been the certainty. not believing that he existed, because of the fact his disciples already knew that. i've got found it some different places too. i'm not asserting I/you're precise approximately this. I merely have confidence that Jesus became a time-honored individual. yet i'm nevertheless a Christian, circulate determine.

Literally, sin is falling short of perfection.

Since perfection is relative, so is sin. Perfection is relative to the situation. What maybe perfect in one situation may not be in another. Failing to be perfect on an inspection is sinning technically.

Adam's sin was passed on to their offspring by their both being imperfect. They could not have passed on perfection as at the time they conceived both were imperfect. So were the consequences of that imperfection---death. Romans 5:12 shows this point clearly.

Also clearly from verses 17 and 21 show how Jesus' sacrifice bought us back from that sin.

This shows why we do not need to form useless opinions as the Bible shows facts.

Sin is when we do something wrong. The holy angels always do what is right. In Paradise eventually all will practice righteousness.

    Yes, we inherited imperfection.

An illustration is;... like our parents had a million dollars, and they lost it. So they could not give it to their children if it was gone. The children could not possible inherit it.

2Peter 3:13 But there are a new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.

Those who have faith in Jesus have righteousness imputed to them,..which means God forgives and does not see them in sin. Romans 8:1

    Okay. First. What is sin?

1John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

As to your question about it being inherited.. All of us have been to the same tree as Adam and Eve.

The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil represented the totality of sin.

    1. The lust of the flesh.

    2. The lust of the eyes.

    3. The boastful pride of life.

These very same three were presented to Jesus in the desert but none of them tempted Him to sin.

You have answered your own question.I like to put everything simple ,no fancy words with me. You have your free will right.

When you do a bad thing that god within (your conscious) tells you it is wrong so you try not do it again.Just do good in life and forget about all those complected things in the bible. The bible never accounted for people who can not read or write so what use is it to them.Life is simple so keep it that way or confusion will set in.

Sin is a transgression of the cosmic laws of the universe, which the father has put into place to keep the universe in a state of perfect balance.

You and i ,are created in the fathers image ,therefor we posses the potential to become like him, GODS.

    GOD BLESS.

its our nature, when baby's are born their hearts are born with the human weakness to almost want to sin and to not sin is a very hard thing, even thinking a bad thought is a sin, thats why the devil has every right to condemn us, and thats why jesus died. Innocent blood to save a sinners life is to powerful for the evil of Satan.
