No,this is not the concept of Quran & hadith.
This is a shiite believe,Which has no base ,but came from ibn saba.a jew who interveined concepts of imamt of ALI

They are not considered perfect. We need to check from the Quran and the Sunnah regarding any fatwa given by any Imams

No such thing as a 'perfect' man...the prophets (as) were as close as man can get.....Only Allah (swt) is perfect and infallable. This is where i have the biggest issue with shia's.....this is shirk to think that any man is perfect, and they think these imams are even better than the prophets (as) (astigfirAllah) and remember even divinely guided doesnt mean divine...Divinity is the realm of Allah alone. Allah knows best

Only Prophets and angels are divinely guided.
Shia's concept of 12 Imam is the mother of all sects of kufr in Islam, like Shia's, Quadiyani's, Isma'eli's, Baha'ees, Bohri's .....

No one is divinely guided except the prophets, if you are referring to the 12 imams the Shi'as claim to follow, they were great people but not divinely guided. If you are speaking of the 4 Imams of Fiqh(Abu Hanifa, Malak, Shafi'i, Ahmed) all of them made clear in their works, that nothing but the Qur'an is divinely guided, and they all said to reject their works if there is an authentic hadith opposing their sayings.

only Allah is perfect. not even the prophets or the messengers were perfect. they can be termed as 'ideals' but not perfect. and the imams can't even be compared to the sahabas. so, no, they are not perfect.
and i dont agree with the 'divinely' guided part. only messengers are divinely guided and NO ONE ELSE.

There are a lot of extrapolations from the Qur'an and Sunnah that both Sunnis and Shia use to justify their beliefs.
Study, and study hard, and make you own decision.
In the end, Allah Ta'ala knows best, and we are judged on our intention.

jews made their scholars their lord, similarly shias have made their imams their lord, and sunnis are not different.
9:31] They have set up their religious leaders and scholars as lords, instead of GOD. Others deified the Messiah, son of Mary. They were all commanded to worship only one god. There is no god except He. Be He glorified, high above having any partners.

Only Prophet Mohamed (sallalahu aleihi wasallam) was divinely guided.
Who ever says something different is innovating!

salamun alaikum,
yes it does come from the quran and it is supported by hadiths that all schools of thought hold to be authentic.
The Ahlulbayt (as) of the Prophet (saw) are purified by the Quran and the authentic sunni hadiths clarify who Ahlulbayt are:
http://al-islam.org/encyclopedia/chapter1a/3.html
and the leaders of the ummah, i.e. the twelve imams of Ahlulbayt (as), are infallible:
http://al-islam.org/encyclopedia/chapter1b/5.html
The issue of the number being specifically twelve is also justified by authentic sunni hadiths:
Source(s): DISCLAIMER: The Twelver Shi'ites do NOT hold ANY human being, whether he be a prophet, a messenger, or an Imam, to be divine. We do not worship human beings, nor do we approve of such a custom. Allah (SWT) is never compromised in Shi'ite theology or philosophy! All the negative stuff you may hear about us is pure propaganda with political motives. Allah (SWT) is Exalted above all that scratches dignity and justice. We hold Allah (SWT) to be the JUST Creator (SWT), Who never commits any injustice against His creation. Allah (SWT) is indivisible, and He does not relinquish His (SWT) Majesty and Sovereignty to anyone. No one is permitted to interfere with His Wishes, except by His leave. This is the Authentic Twelver Shi'ite Creed, and everything else that is negative in nature, and is attributed to the Shia, is rubbish.
