    Yes.

The whole competition to be House's interns at the start of the season was stupid.

It turned me off the show.

Don't know why everyone is totally misusing that term!

"Jumping the shark" means having one completely idiotic episode (from Happy Days where Fonzi literally jumped a shark on waterskis) after which the whole show is crap.

The writing on House has definitely slipped a bit this year, making the new team less interesting than they could be. But the actors are all solid, Hugh Laurie is consistantly brilliant, and the show is still very good.

Nope. The new team added a desperately needed infusion of fresh blood. I do wish they'd killed off Cameron instead of Amber, though - Amber was a much better and more enjoyable character. And if they make House nicer, or have him get together with Cuddy or Cameron, then it will be shark time.

the reason why they did that competition at the start of the show was because it was actually like a competition to be on the show.

The show had no idea who they wanted to hire, so they wrote it that way. The characters that they ended up liking in the end is what stayed. When they started, they had no idea that the 3 they chose were going to be the actual 3 on the show (hence why there were like 6 that had pretty equal roles)

Yes and it completely jumped the shark with the last episodes about the bus crash.
