How important is education to you?

I'm starting college tomorrow and taking 6 units over the summer to get ahead, so I was just wondering how important is education in this current time.

Extremely important! I know it takes a lot of time, time you'd prefer to dedicate to friends, girlfriend/boyfriend, party, etc. but i assure you, it's worth the sacrifice.

First of all what would you do if there's no place to go like a class or study for an exam? hanging out, sleep...? sooner or later you'll be bored to death and will try to get a job, then all the jobs you'll find are crappy because you lack either the degree or the expertise.

The more advanced the degree the better jobs you could get in the future with better salary and benefits which will allow you to have all the material things you want.

On the other hand, the better education the more you'll be exposed to different perspectives in life, that's important too.

When you have different points of view on things you could create different solutions to problems or to situations in life.

In my personal opinion nothing is more boring or than a guy/girl who don't know anything about the limits of their own neighborhood, they lack interesting chatting and that's a total turn off!!.

If you want a paying job that you can make a living on, then you need lots of education. Years ago you needed a high school education. Nowadays , even a 2 year degree is like a GED. Minimum school required now is a 2 year degree. A four year degree will get you a decent job. Do not make the mistake! Get an education. Just look on all of the job boards and they usually list what the education is required for the job. Most are Associates (2 year) or higher. Very few are high school or GED. Those that are high school or GED are low paying jobs you cannot support yourself, a family, or make a living on. $7-$10 an hour jobs usually do not give you enough money in a 401 k to live comfotable even if you do work for the same place 20 years.

    GOOD QUESTION!!

Young people who have completed primary education are less than half as likely to contract HIV as those missing an education. Universal primary education would prevent 700,000 cases of HIV each year – about 30% all new infections in this age group. (Source: http://www.oxfam.org/eng/pr040423_gcereport_hivaid... ). You are not going in for primary education but I just need to point to the fact that Education is very important. But the problem lies in the fact that many people are not able to avail this facility. We should try to help the needy. The UN has launched a campaign to educate everyone and eradicate poverty by 2015. do check out its community http://www.orkut.co.in/Community.aspx?cmm=47234928 .

education have become really very important specaily in the current time because in today a person is nothing without education. there are many advantages of education if we think but no disadvantages of it. if we are educated we can easily apply for a good job and go forward in our life but if we are not then you are still there were you had been before.
