Has the world economy sunk down into unprincipled anarchy?
With the worldwide prices of refined fuels, foods, and other commoditites increasing dramatically and income remaining relatively the same, aren't we all really getting bled dry?
I would tend to agree that we, meaning the US, have tended to drag some part of the economy down but I fear that there are significantly less resources available to all of the developing nations at once. That being the case, I feel that the whole world is suffering and this is why I have asked if the economy has sunk down into unprincipled anarchy. I thing we all want some order in our lives. A chicken in every pot. A roof over our heads. And somehow there arent enough chickens or roofs.
It would seem with the fuel and food riots everywhere, even OPEC is concerned that the price of oil does not realistically reflect its true value and that it fears (though they won't say it out loud), economic and political instability worldwide.

I think so. This is a scary time we are living in. You also have to figure in the subprime mortgage crisis and how that will effect the overall economy as it unfolds. As a rather young adult I fear the future of this country and it worries me about starting a family. I'm afraid we may not be the world leader much longer if things keep going this way. Where is the accountablility?

well it was never rulled particularly by anyone. that's why we've had economic recessions before, i actually think this time it's due to the fact that the US had too strong a hold on the world economy that we brought everyone down a lot faster than it would've happened naturally.

Maybe in the next few years, but the World GDP growth rate has not seen negative growth since 1973.

Yes, we are being killed off by the ruling class. This much is obvious. They have a vision of a new world in which there are significantly less people.
Our only real hope is violent revolution.
