HELP!!! ? HOW CAN I OVERWRITE My LAPTOP BIOS Password ??!!!?

I have a Gateway Laptop ModelTI1 And the pass word has been ingaged. I have tried everything to over write, and unfortunatly my warrenty has run out. And I do not have the cash for a " VIRTUAL LOCKSMITH ". Anyone know what I can do to OVERWRITE THIS? Again, It is a bios PASSWORD when I turn on my laptop. Not a Windows Password..

    read the manual ... there should be a 3v bios battery in the back of ur laptop ... u will need a screw driver to remove any covers blocking the way ... take off the battery for about 1 min keep it like that and then put it in do everythings that nessesary and start ur pc ... in the bios menu set ur date time correctly cuz all the settings are now default and the passwords will be erased by then ...

    You need to take off the back side of the laptop and remove the little battery for ten seconds. The password should be forgotten.

    I don't know your machine, but try going into the bios and dis-able the password.
