Why is Jesus with 2 or 3 gathered in his name? Does this eliminate denominations? Matthew 18:20?

I think you might be referring to a bit of scripture that goes something like this - that where 2 or 3 are gathered in his name - his spirit will be there with them - meaning that even if only 2 or 3 people are gathered in his name jesus will be with them just as much as if there were lots of people doing the same thing. I do not thing it depends on what denomination you are. This is a good reference to look up

Hope this helps explain it

There is no separation of the the Spirit of God. We all have a part of His spirit, but need the power of His Holy Spirit without measure to achieve holiness, a oneness to God. First step is through Jesus who through His sacrifice of Himself gave us the way back to that oneness, holiness of denying self.
If we did not have a part of the spirit of God, we would be lifeless flesh, dead. As God has said to me, the spirit does not go in the casket.
Church can be 2 or 3, gathered in the name of Jesus, but the fellowship is important and when one of the 2 or 3 does not show up, church falls apart. The fellowship within a Church is needed too.
Churches are like the School system, there are Nursery, Grade School, Junior High and Senior and College, they all have purpose if they are founded and operate in the doctrine of Jesus the Christ, the Way, the Truth and the Light of the world.

Oh He's always there with you. At least, if you accepted Jesus Christ. He's omnipresent, meaning He's everywhere

It means that we are supposed to worship in groups and not become churches of one.

This is the Church that Jesus the Christ built for His Father.
21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
Matt 5:21-24 (KJV)
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. Matt 7:3-5 (KJV)
15 Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
THE SPIRITUAL CHURCH BUILT WITHOUT HANDS.
19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. Matt 18:15-22 (KJV)
IF YOU DO NOT FORGIVE NEITHER WILL YOUR FATHER FORGIVE YOUR TRESSPASSES.
