MSN Auto: Helps with researching a car and gives pros & cons on the vehicle, very useful.
Auto Trader: Look on the website and pick up the magazine. You can usually find them in a local gas station or convient store.
Check the classifed ads in your local paper. Usually private owners post there.
Ask your friends to keep an eye out. You never know what someone might run across.
Once you have narrowed it down, pay $29.99 for the unlimited carfax access. It has being very useful in my search for a car.
Research your area for a public auction. Make sure you bring a mechanic or a buddy that knows about cars if you don't.
