What is this Porsche Worth (ARE YOU PEOPLE BLIND)?
So someone asked what this car is worth and it didn't click that this car is so far from being original? It is worth little of what the original would be worth. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS... Someone, other than me in this forum, should take a look at what is published in Excellence Magazine every quarter on what the real cars sell for. The car is a so far from being an original and you would never see this caliber of car on Barrett Jackson Auction. This car is a real dog in sheep’s clothing.

The page is not responding when I go to load it... but I beleive I know the one you are mentioning (Indian Red paint that went beyond repainting the body and included trim items like the targa bar and headlight rings?), and had a buy it now in the high $50k range? And the asker seemed upset when I had suggested it was worth much much much less and compared it to another eBay auction of an all original 911S Soft Window Targa?
Personally I'd be very concerned that a car like that would not have had it's paint work and such really documented (ie, most restores that include full repaints will usually go the route of taking photos to show all the proper work having been done before the paint sprays), and my usual suspicion of a long hood car getting so many upgrades, but not really going the R-Gruppe route is "so, what're they trying to hide?"
It reminds me of a '77 911S I once saw that had been converted (somewhat well) to 930S slant nose body work and painted a bright metallic pink. The wheels were clearly the wrong offsets for the turbo flares and well, so many other things. And the asking price definitely seemed to be based off of the total the owner had spent. But that car, like this one, if you happen to be looking for such a beast, maybe it's worth it to you (just don't be suprised when you go to sell it to discover no one else will place the same kind of value to it).

Isint that a 912, that was like a boxster the entry level car after the 356.
I think it was superceded by the 914.
I wouldnt think it was worth 50k.
It is probobly worth around 10-15k its not a 911 its a 912 and they were a lot cheaper.
Personally I gont like the style, it looks like a ***** basket and even at 15k it would be too much.
Id be very suprised if it sold.

That car is still worth over $30,000 even if it is not original.
It is a classic Porsche is great condition. You can't get it for less than $20,000 unless it has dents, paint scratched off, rippes leather seats, or missing parts.
