Yes! I think it gives the movie a much deeper, and obviously more personal feel. And that's pretty much what movies are all about, in a sense. I mean, yeah, there are those films like Super Bad which are made for humorous intent only. But with more intense movies it's much better to put yourself in the other's shoes. Sometimes I get so into it that when something powerful happens, I get chills. Is that weird? Now that I think about it, though, I do this quite a lot, even without movies. I tend to space out sometimes, hence my "Pisces" like desires. I think it's okay to dream about surreal things-if no one did, where would the creativity go?

Yes, I think that is the directors' objective to get YOU to feel like your in the position of the main character or characters.
Usually when you don't feel the same amount of remorse the character is feeling, the movie probably isn't interesting or you weren't paying attention.

Usually the main character because you're viewing the story through their eyes.

I like to imagine myself in shoes other than my own on occasion... what would it be like to travel to the stars, or back in time or what would it be like to just not be myself ???
