Why would Jesus talk to Satan? Told him about worship YHWH?

Matthew 4:10 It is written, "It is YHWH/Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him ALONE you must render sacred service." [Jesus told Satan]

You must read it in context. Look at the verses before this. This is during the time that Satan is tempted Christ. This is the last temptation that he gives him. Matthew 4:8-10, "Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor; and he said to him, 'All these I will give you, if you fall down and worship me.' Jesus said to him, 'Away with you, Satan! For it is written, 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve only him.'' Christ was tempted with the kingdoms of the world if he would worship Satan. Christ responded to him that you should ONLY worship Yahweh. He isn't telling him to worship God. Christ is telling him a response as to why he will not worship Satan. Also, he is quoting directly from scripture. Deuteronomy 6:13 states, "The Lord your God you shall fear; him you shall serve, and by his name alone you shall swear." Christ isn't instructing Satan. He is giving him a response to his temptation by quoting scripture.

Read and understand the Passage, Satan attempted (In vain) to tempt Jesus by getting Jesus to worship satan if only for a Moment, and if He did, He would not have to Sacrifice Himself for the Sins of mankind, It was within satans power to actually give Jesus Dominion over the earth, But Jesus refused, Jesus Told satan that as a rebuke, not as a Command.

Maybe God told him to. You do know Christ spent 40 days in the desert being tempted by Satan? Consequently, they'd have to say something.

Jesus spoke to a Samaritan woman (John 4:7-26) saying: "yet a time is coming and has now come while the actual worshippers will worship the daddy interior the Spirit and in fact, for they are considered one of those worshippers the daddy seeks. God is Spirit, and his worshippers would desire to worship interior the Spirit and in fact." The Samaritan human beings have been in errors; they sought to worship the two God and idols (2 Kings 17:28-40-one), and it is reaffirmed via Jesus Christ: "You Samaritans worship what you do not be attentive to" (John 4:22). those human beings worshipped God "0.5-heartedly" because of the fact their entire affection grew to become into not set on God. Jesus tells the Samaritan woman that actual worship of God is widespread via the actuality that it comes from the redeemed coronary heart of a guy or woman who has been justified until now God via faith and who's trusting interior the Lord Jesus Christ on my own for forgiveness of sins. actual worship of God comes from a coronary heart that needs Him only.

Why not? Jesus is the Son of God.

You talk to Satan (that's if he exists). You talk to both believers and none believers. So why not?

He acknowledged his existence, for one... but he is telling him to stop lying & tempting him.

Read the whole account... it makes much sense then.

Well, maybe you should look up what he told him. You surely can't consider that worship ...
