Wow, you are a disgrace to us Maverick fans and I am glad to say that I'm happy your rooting for a different team because you don't deserve to be one of us so why don't you go root for the lakers or some other bandwagon

Since you root for so many different sports-- you should just keep watching those sports- and see which teams you like and root for that team. No one should be telling you whom to root for and whom not to root for- because then you are rooting for someone else's favorites and not yours.

Not all the teams you root for need to be in the same city- but you don't want to root for a team because someone tells you.

Watch the games and see which teams you like- and decide for yourself.

if you're looking for a short term team to go with, go with the Celtics.

They were champions just this last year, they have a good chance to repeat, and if you hate the Lakers they do too so you might have a sense of bond.

They have great veteran stars but they'll decline soon so that's why I said short term.

But since you have 5 years to go, go with either the New Orleans Hornets, or the Portland Trailblazers. They each have a young team that could become dominant in the NBA soon.

But you may be opposed to the New Orleans Hornets seeing that's the team that eliminated you guys in the playoffs..

If you want to stay in your state I reccomend going with the Rockets, if they stay healthy they are fun to watch with T-Mac and Yao together, they did OK in the draft and should be good for the next 4-5 years.

The Rockets. They are still in Texas. You always want to root for the team that is still in your state. I would say Spurs but they are an older team and less fun to watch.

Boston has Celtics, Patriots, and Red Sox if you like winners.

L.A. has Lakers/Clippers, Angels/Dodgers, Galaxy(soccer), Ducks.

Florida has Rays, Miami/Magics, Gators(college)

If you like to watch young guys Portland, Utah, Toronto, Miami.

If you like to watch scoring teams Golden State(even without Baron), L.A., Phoenix, Denver.

If you like to watch defense then San Antonio, Boston, Detroit, Cleveland, Houstan.

If you like to see threes fly then Golden State(don't think losing Baron would decrease there three pointer attempts too much), Orland(highest attempted three pointers), Toronto(iirc they had highest three point percentage).

Or just root for the team your favorite player plays for e.g. LeBron then root for Cleveland.

I know I missed some things, but I wrote this up fast.

This is just my opinion anyways.

New Orleans Hornets

they play super hard and they never give up

in one game they were losing by like 30 but they hung in there and won. The Celtics are good and all, but they let other less superior teams push them around

They also improved so much from last year

Basketball's my favorite sport, so I don't really watch other sports

All the bandwagoners nowadays are rooting for the Celtics, so you should. And yes they are bandwagoners because "true" Celtics fans wouldn't chant MVP for Kobe. Oooops but I guess half the arena was.

You are a bandwagoner if you are looking for reasons to root for a team.

They have the highest chance of winning next year... mabey not after that thought

They have Peirce, KG, Allen.....
