Your opinion..?
I have been following this news but after reading this --> http://www.asiaone.com/News/AsiaOne%2BNews/Malaysi...
I have mixed feeling about it.
- Can he really do it?
- Is he just using this as a weapon against the government?
- If he is that sure and intelligent, he should have seen this coming during his time. Why now?
Also, I am very curious how on earth he can organise such a huge event, at such a short period of time. Doesn't he need a permit to do so? Logically, a commoner applying for licences needs dayS, this instance, sounds like a 'not necessary' thing.
Agree with you, anderson
And also you, BlackBerry
Bobo, my question is --> is he really able to do it?
Winter, thanks for the short and sharp answers... Appreciate that.

Well politicians' playgrounds can get support financially from the back (no pun intended). Did you know that foreigners are in favor of Anwar compare to Dr. M and Badawi (they see Badawi's as Dr. M's sleeping puppet).
Many knew that Dr. M and certain of his political kaki, have enemies within the country and overseas (YES especially overseas, USA & Singapore totally blacklisted Malaysia and always fight with Dr. M last time). While Anwar even though he's in jail his family went overseas for backups.
Now that Badawi's on shaky position especially since he's a rather soft and gentle type of politician AND the outcome of petrol price..AND since Dr. M not in good terms with him. So of course many would want a new leader. Since Anwar's on fire with the recent sodomy case, why don't he drag others to die and bring out the dirt. Sometimes I find that Badawi's rather reluctant to be the PM, I think he's more willing to just resign and have a peaceful family life.
Man we can expect a lot of dramas in Malaysia now... like the movies man!
I hope and pray that the situation won't effect the economy, investment, the jobs here and don't become like neighboring countries. In the meantime, we all can just sit and wait for more dramas~

Anwar knows full well that his challenge is not going to be accepted. He knows that if a permit is required, he is not going to get it. He should stop all this nonsense and start doing some real work. Like...
If he is so sure that he can bring down the price of oil, then he should put his proposal to the people- explain how he is going to do it. What he is going to do...Lowering the price of oil must come at a cost--- raise personal taxes, increase import duties of goods, etc...What will Anwar do ? What policies will he change that will be understood and accepted by the people ?....
Edit:
This type of debate is more appropriatly organized by a unconnected third party, which should invite both sides to take part... However, the Government will never accept, because it knows that it will lose... To have any possibility of winning, it will have to/forced to open up its closets of skeletons kept for the last 50 years...but the main issue is that the government is blank of ideas of what best to do to manage the government.

- Yes, he can do it because there are solutions to problems.
- No, it is not a weapon against the government.
- Now, because through time, he learned a lot.
Yes, a permit is required but everyone knows it won't be given to him. Everyone knows only too well or too much.......
My opinions have been given to your questions.
Time for me to go as usual.......

he is a man full of nonsense...
permit??...he dont need such thing coz he just like to break the law..how on earth a person like him can lead a country?
why on earth some people can be so blind towards all this?
- Mr. BoboLv 51 decade ago

im not so sure what you are not sure about:
1. whether he can hold the live debate/on stage presentations or
2. whether he can really reduce oil price
either way, i am not persuaded by his deed so far. if he worked for the people, he would have done so while he was still the DPM
