Do you use a particular pokemon to get the pamtre berry in Amity Square?

No, it does not matter with berry's...only with contest items.

But the Pamtre Berry is Very Rare.

Actually, the Pick-up only works on FireRed and LeafGreen for this Berry. See here:

im sorry the berries just come up at random so changing to a different pokemon wont help in anyway my u basically just keep on having to do what you were doing the whole time. your probably taking deep *sighs* right now but im sorry youll keep on having to look like you were doing before
