how can I add blond hair to my avatar, it was not offered when I choose the features I wanted to use?

Look next to each hairstyle. There should be boxes there that are brown, blonde, red (and some with grey). Just click one of those boxes next to the hairstyle that you like.
Then, click the orange 'Save Changes' button under the avatar.
