My Book - External Hard drive- XP won't recognize.?

320GB My Book External Hard Drive and XP won't pick it up. Used to work fine until I moved things around. Have tried different USB cable, different USB ports.... Any suggestions?

    Connect your hard drive to the computer, right-click 'My computer' icon on the desktop, select 'properties', 'hardware' tab and click on 'device manager', at the end the list, find your USB device's driver, right-click it, uninstall. After removing the hard drive from the PC, restart the system. Connect the hard drive again. XP should re-install the driver for External HDD

    If it does not work, try it out on some other system. If it does not work, then the external HDD have problems.
