Have you ever been burned by nail polish remover?

If so what kind? I recently got chemical burns from nail polish remover on 6 of my fingers. It was horrible. They blistered up and peeled several times. I had to go to the doctor twice and keep them bandaged for weeks. I've met one other person this has happened too and now I'm wondering if there are others. I have contacted the company, but they are dragging their feet, so any suggestions about what to do there would be helpful too.

Update:

It was a non-acetone based nail polish remover. I did not have any open cuts or anything like that and I had used it previously. The company asked that I send them a sample back, which I did for testing. They said that sometimes the chemcial composition can break down causing something like this to happen so now they put expiration dates on the bottles. Mine does not have an expiration date.

nail polish remover is acatone based and unless diluted will cause severe burns, you should e-mail them pictures of the burns and keep the pictures just in case something else related happens and u need further evidence
