install office 97 small business edition?

I have 2 installation discs for office 97 that I want to use to install excell, but cannot get past some code in order to install. I had this installed on my previous computer, now long gone, but never trasfered this program to my new one. How can I install? It is no lo longer supported by microsoft.

    why would you even consider installing a product that has been out dated for over 8 years ?

    there is a much much better program out their known as open office !!

    100 times better and best of all free

    It's 11 year old software!

    Get your hands on Office 2007, it's great.
