Have you ever forgotten what day of the week it is and didn't go to work or somewhere?

Here it is, the middle of the week. I woke up today thinking it was Saturday. So I didn't call or go into work. Do other people do that? Completely believe it's another day of the week than it actually is?

I remember doing that one time in uniform. I was living off base and woke at 0730. I had to open the office at 0750. My motorbike broke the land speed record that day. I got to the guard room and picked up the keys, getting strange looks. I managed to get to the office in time to get it open and everything up and running. Even got the coffee pot simmering. Then glanced at my watch. It was gone 0800 and still no one was in. Then glanced at the calendar and saw it was SUNDAY. No one works on Sunday. It was a very sheepish sergeant who motorcycled more slowly off base. Of course everyone got to hear about it. Isn't that always the way?

When I was in middle school I had clarinet lesson on Thursday. I thought it was Monday and sat in on the music class instead.

By the time I realized my mistake, class was over. The teacher was okay with it, though, but she called me a turkey. I must've gotten an absence or a cut though LOL.
